Are Contactless Payments Coming to America?

Contactless payments have had some negative publicity in the US market, articles and headlines about people walking the streets stealing your credit card information are still top of mind for many consumers. Even for banks, the problem of security seemed to out weigh the benefits of using a contactless card system. For some time Chase bank had its own contactless card, that it shut down around 2014.


However, contactless cards seem to be making a comeback in the American market. Although they only make up a small percentage of payments many experts say that paying with contactless systems will become the norm soon. In fact, they are already established in Europe, consumers can use them everywhere even in public transportation.
